Proprietor Marcelo Ferreiros grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and from a young age was practically raised on the unique cuisine that the region has to offer. The unusual flavors and textures of this cuisine have remained his favorite and those he most enjoys preparing for others as well as himself. Partner and best friend Ricky Alietti grew up in Argentina as well, where his parents were restaurant owners. Ricardo Alietti has a Degree in International Business.
Ricardo Alietti and Marcelo Ferreiros started in the restaurant business in 1999 with the opening of Baires Grill. Within a couple of years, due to the great success of the restaurant, they seemed to have a passion for the business and a desire to broaden his horizons. They moved on to a new location. Baires Grill Argentinean Steak House reopened his doors at the Lincoln Road Mall in South Beach (Regal Cinema South Beach Stadium 18). The new site of over 2600 square feet features a main dining room, cozy bar and an outdoor sidewalk café.

Argentine gastronomy is recognized worldwide for its famous parilladas (barbecue) and legendary meat cuts. As the name indicates, Baires Grill Argentinean Steak House offers an exceptional variety of meats prepared with a touch of spices and those passionate characteristics unique to South America.
“That’s exactly what Baires Grill delivers; traditional Argentine cuisine and good service in charming surroundings. We established Baires because as Argentines in Miami ourselves, we couldn’t find a place to get real quality, authentic Argentine food.” says Marcelo Ferreiros, who along with his partner Ricky Alietti, operates this charming bistro located at one of the most desirable locations in South Beach. “FOOD IS A VERY BIG PART OF OUR CULTURE. IT BRINGS FRIENDS AND FAMILY TOGETHER EVERY DAY AND ALLOWS FOR A BREAK FROM REALITY AND OUR HECTIC DAYS. We wanted to create a place where people could come in, relax, enjoy great food, fantastic wine- all somewhere a little out of the ordinary. Baires is a dream come true for us and we are constantly coming up with new ideas to keep our clients wondering what will be next.”
The atmosphere at Baires Grill offers an ideal place to enjoy a delicious entrée and great conversation with friends. Much of the conversation will be geared towards which wine pairings to choose. The extensive list has a great selection of wines from California and of course the home of tango, Argentina at almost Argentinean prices… Inside Baires Grill, an attentive and cool staff tempts your palate with traditional- and not so traditional Argentine cuisine. This Casual yet trendy establishment is completely transformed when the glass doors are open and patrons spill onto the patios and surrounding salons. The menu at Baires Grill is straightforward with enough variety for even the finickiest of eaters. For starters consider their homemade turnovers (fried or grilled) fill with meat, chicken, ham and cheese. Vegetarians can choose from corn or capresse, and a refreshing selection of Salads. The entrée section of the menu offers over fifteen different cuts of steak (Certified Angus Steaks)- from the 24.oz New York Steak Prime to Argentinean Barbecue for two (Traditional Parrillada served in a portable grill which stands next to the table to keep the meat warm as you enjoy your meal). Each main course comes with a side dish. Choose from their wickedly rich and creamy gratin potatoes, creamed broccoli or delicious creamed spinach (among others).
All pastas are 100% homemade and made fresh everyday (except the spaghettis). For Homemade desserts, dip your fork into the caramel custard (Flan), or the sinfully delectable Flambé Crepes with Ice Cream (flavor to election), or their notorious chocolate Mousse.
Today, eighteen years later, Baires Grill is still a thriving part of the “South Beach” community. Marcelo Ferreiros and Ricky Alietti are always looking forward to the future and setting responsible goals for Baires Grill. They feel that driving his restaurant in this direction is the responsible path to choose.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentinian born Executive Chef Andreina Protti was lured into the culinary world when her passion for this industry and for food was discovered at an early age, she grew up watching her mother and grandmother prepared the most tasteful dishes and making her part of that ritual. Andreina studied Graphic Design in BA back in 1993, she always loved design, art in different forms, but her passion was always “food” and the co-relation between art & food.
It was until 1996 when she decided to take her passion seriously and went on to study the culinary arts at the Argentinian Institute of Gastronomy in BA, where she learned to develop her own unique style and flair, Andreina continued with her career at exclusive restaurants for a high profile clientele such us Duo, Gardiner, etc.
After moving to Miami Beach, in 2008 Andreina was appointed as Chef for Le Basque Catering company where she cooked for President Obama, Spain Kings, Bill Clinton, Lenny Kravitz and also participated with her unique dishes at Art Basel.
Then she joined our team at Baires Grill, her dishes are simply amazing and consistent which is key in this business. We are honored to work closely with Andreina for more than six years.
Andreina’s culinary philosophy and passion reflects simplicity and the growing trend towards a healthier lifestyle, at Baires we pick the seasonal vegetables and prepare the most delicious dishes combining art + taste with very high quality products. Her preference is to allow the natural flavors of food to express themselves.
Andreina believes whole heartedly in staying active, continuously re-creating herself and having fun! and we certainly enjoy her enthusiasm here at Baires Grill.
